MIMS Success Story
Successful Bladder Surgery for 97-Year-Old Patient at Medicity Hospital
Doctors at Mediciti Hospital, located in Mansoorapur, successfully performed a complex bladder surgery on a 97-year-old patient to clear a blocked urinary pathway.
The patient, identified as Azeez (97), had been suffering from several severe issues, including insufficient urination volume, urinary leakage due to loss of control, and bladder irritation, often requiring emergency catheterization. After visiting multiple hospitals, he sought treatment at Mediciti.
Following examination and various tests, doctors diagnosed him with Prostatic Hyperplasia, a condition causing obstructions that were severely impeding the flow of urine.
A skilled medical team, led by Urology Doctor Nitesh, and supported by Anesthesia Head Dr. P.V. Chaitanya and Dr. Gopala Krishna, successfully performed a Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) surgery to remove the obstruction. The hospital acknowledged the vital contribution of the entire team, including President Professor K. Sivarama Krishnamurthy, Managing Director Dr. Geetha, and Dr. Salman Sadiq, to the success of this challenging operation.
