MediCiti College of Nursing is founded by SHARE (Science and Healthcare Allied Research and Education), a philanthropic foundation committed to community service through grassroots healthcare delivery. It is co-promoted by SHARE MEDICAL CARE FOUNDATION.
MediCiti College of Nursing, established in 2006, is affiliated with KNRUHS and recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.
MediCiti College of nursing offers BSc Nursing 4 years Degree Course.
The college has an intake of 100 students per annum from the academic year 2023-24 and at present 231 students.
- Nurses are trained to assess the needs of individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan, from birth to death. They plan and deliver effective nursing care, collaborate with health teams for health promotion, illness prevention, and rehabilitation, and evaluate the outcomes of nursing interventions.
- Apply relevant knowledge from the humanities, biological and behavioral sciences in carrying out health care and nursing activities.
- Show sensitivity and skill in human relationships and communication in daily work.
- Demonstrate skill in the use of problem solving methods in nursing practice.
- Gain knowledge of health resources in the community and the country.
- Demonstrate leadership skills in working with the health team, community and others, in the provision of health care.
- Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to professional behavior.
- Demonstrate in self-awareness and ability of self evaluation in personal and professional life.

- Prepare and promote exchange of nursing education and service with other countries.

50% of the allotted seats come from Government Quota and the balance 50% is for the management to fill.
Each Management quota application will be considered by the college selection committee with respect to the following:
- Marks obtained in 10+2 examination or equivalent.
- Performance at a personal interview
- Health status
- Exceptional aptitude in extra- curricular activities.
Government (University) Quota Seats will be filled by the KNRUHS.
- Should have passed the Intermediate examination with Biology, Physics, and chemistry as optional subjects or Intermediate vocational Nursing examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate examination, TS or any examination recognized as equivalent there to.
- Should have secured not less than 50% of marks in optional subjects of the Intermediate examination or equivalent examination.
- In case of SC /ST candidates it shall not be less than 45% of marks.
- Minimum age for admission shall be 17 years and should have not be more than 25 years as on 31 st December of the academic year of admission. Upper age limit shall be relaxed by 3 years in case of SC/ ST candidates.
- Physical fitness must be ensured by certificate from a registered medical practitioner.
The course in BSc Nursing will be of four years duration.
Syllabus and general outline of the course will be as prescribed by Indian Nursing Council, and Examination Board for BSc Nursing KNRUHS. Medium of Instruction will be English.
Mrs. S Hymavathi, MSc N is the Principal of College of Nursing. The institute of nursing is maintaining full fledged, well qualified & competent teaching faculty as per the norms of Indian Nursing Council.
The college have well equipped labs for Fundamentals of nursing, Community Health Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Maternal & Child health nursing, and computer and Nutrition.
All the class rooms are well ventilated & spacious with adequate teaching aids.
A MediCiti College of nursing has a central Library with adequate number of books and Journals and an internet room having 10 computers with net connection.
The College of Nursing has MediCiti Hospital (MIMS) clinical attachment. The hospital is a teaching one with a Medical College (approved by MCI) of 100 students intake per annum, and has bed strength of 700.

Students are accommodated in a safe and homely hostel within the hospital campus, provided with a well managed kitchen and potable water through R.O plants.
